Learning Technology Specialist

Position summary

Does asynchronous curriculum development seem easy to you? Does being the POC for both learners and instructors sound like leading a nice big family? Is education a panacea to all root causes from your point of view? The Learning Technology Specialist guides educational development programs on lifesaving behavioral change issues on a national scale. We are looking for candidates who embrace hard work and enjoy moving people.


Work you’ll do:

In your role, you will:

  • Support current curricula of multiple adult-oriented initiatives with hundreds of thousands of members

  • Expand suite of materials and curriculum to connect with new groups, such as youth and elementary-age students

  • Seek expert stakeholder input and approval for program content

  • Develop a communication plan that builds upon program curriculum to attract members, utilizing full breadth of outreach available on a national scale

  • Connect new initiatives to current suite of initiatives to expand total engagement

  • Act as an internal consultant to help educational leaders apply technological methods to better reach new learners

  • Connect with research models to monitor system success

  • Assist leaders to better identify educational opportunities where curriculum can be leveraged

  • Assist Motivf in developing training and education as a core competency, including the development and application of in-house software platform integrations

  • Develop training materials and presentations to evangelize educational programs in the organization

  • Utilize established and innovative techniques to drive program involvement

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Per federal mandate, proof of completed COVID vaccination by December 8, 2021.

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education

  • 3+ years related work experience with experience in designing authentic assessments and generative learning experiences.

  • Ability to be creative, flexible, and innovative in course design

  • Experience developing online learning objects using a variety of software

  • Knowledge of youth learning principles, constructivism, facilitation, and learner-centered activities

  • Experience in one or more core industry sectors, preferably government

  • World-class written and oral communication skills with ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it in an engaging way

  • Capable of balancing priorities of simultaneous projects and demands


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters’ Degree in Education, Instructional Design or equivalent

  • Familiarity with current learning management systems and other learning platforms and technologies

  • Self-directed, intrinsically motivated; proven capacity to manage work independently, multitask and be responsive to time-sensitive deadlines

  • Well-organized, with strong administrative skills and outstanding attention to detail

  • Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work diplomatically with diverse constituencies
