Graphic Designer

Position Summary

Do you like to create visually stunning images? Do you find yourself always drawing? Do you feel empowered to create visual concepts that inspire, inform, or captivate others? Motivf is looking for a graphic designer to integrate digital, print, and retail designs into products, services and environments.

Location: Arlington, VA

Work You’ll Do:

  • Create engaging and relevant content for a Digital Content Creation Course and social media.

  • Work with clients and team members to develop best-in-class approaches from concept through execution.

  • Create visually aspects of marketing materials, websites and other materials, including infographics.

  • Put together disparate elements of a design created by another professional, such as the icons, photographs, and other components necessary for a website design.

  • Consult with clients’ marketing, copywriting, and sales team to create cohesive designs that reflect our clients’ corporate cultures and goals.

  • Schedule project implementation and define budget constraints.

  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.

  • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas.

  • Amend final designs to clients comments and gain full approval.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline.

  • Demonstrate graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.

  • Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design and multimedia.

  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript.

  • 2+ years in professional design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency.

  • Experience working with Squarespace and WordPress templates.

  • Adaptive design eye and skill.

  • Excellent communication, team-building, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work successfully with teams, independently, and under

  • pressure

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline or additional certification.

  • 4+ years in professional design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency.

  • Self-directed, intrinsically motivated; proven capacity to manage work independently, multitask and be responsive to time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-anticipation and -solving, and customer service; ability to independently investigate solutions to challenges and anticipate leadership needs.

  • Well-organized, with strong administrative skills and outstanding attention to detail.

  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills in working with colleagues at all levels. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work diplomatically with diverse constituencies.

  • Ability to remain flexible and able to adapt to change.
