Instructional Systems Specialist

Location: Arlington, VA

Position Summary

Do you like to take a course through each stage of ADDIE, carefully crafting each detail to maximize transfer and minimize extraneous cognitive load? Do you excel at developing opportunities for realistic practice of soft skills? We are looking for Instructional Systems Specialists to update and develop curriculum for a variety of resilience topics.  

Work You’ll Do:

  • Revise, review, adapt, and develop new curriculum.

  • Upload and maintain a curriculum library.

  • Manage all phases of course development using the ADDIE framework and DOD/Army curriculum standards.

  • Support implementation and evaluation of instructor-led training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, Education (with focus on curriculum and instruction), or equivalent field

  • 5+ years of experience in curriculum development

  • Completed coursework in Learning Theory, Psychology of Learning, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design Practices, Educational Evaluation, and Instructional Product Development

  • Excellent communication, team-building, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work successfully with teams, independently, and under
    pressure

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
