Instructional Systems Designer
Motivf is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer based near Washington, D.C. to support the development, enhancement, and evaluation of high-quality learning programs for federal preparedness and training initiatives. This is a hybrid, full-time position ideal for professionals with experience applying instructional design principles to real-world training materials. The role requires a strong understanding of learning models, visual analysis of training content, and proficiency in instructional design frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and evaluate learning materials and curricula using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation)
Review, analyze, and enhance training materials to ensure alignment with learning objectives
Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create engaging content
Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to ensure content accuracy and effectiveness
Develop storyboards, visual aids, and course materials to support instructional delivery
Conduct evaluations and assessments to measure learning effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Support documentation and reporting on instructional design processes and decisions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of relevant instructional design experience
Strong understanding of learning models and adult learning principles
Knowledge and practical experience with the ADDIE instructional design model
Ability to visually analyze and evaluate training materials
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with learning development tools and Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting federal or government-related training projects
Familiarity with e-learning platforms and multimedia development tools
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in team environments
