Community Manager

Motivf is seeking a full-time Community Manager to serve as a connective force across the firm. This role prioritizes exceptional situational awareness, interpersonal fluency, and organizational insight. The Community Manager maintains a real-time understanding of who is doing what across Motivf, how work is evolving, what skills and mindsets are needed, and where people want to grow and go.

Working closely with the People Team Lead, Chief Growth Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Delivery Manager, this role helps ensure the firm stays informed, aligned, and proactive. The Community Manager designs and runs internal communication systems—anchored in Slack as our primary collaboration hub—and translates information into engaging workflows, rituals, and moments that build cohesion and momentum.

This is a highly visible, people-facing role that also requires strong behind-the-scenes execution, editorial judgment, and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

Organizational Awareness & Coordination

  • Maintain a real-time understanding of delivery activity, operations, business development, talent needs, partnerships, and emerging opportunities

  • Coordinate closely with the People Team Lead, CGO, COO, and Delivery Manager to support alignment across the firm

  • Anticipate communication and coordination needs before issues become urgent

Internal Communications & Community Systems

  • Design, manage, and continuously improve internal communication systems, with Slack as the primary collaboration hub

  • Translate complex or fast-moving information into clear, engaging, and actionable updates

  • Create workflows, rituals, and shared practices that keep people informed, connected, and proactive

Facilitation, Events & All-Hands

  • Plan, facilitate, and run the firm’s fortnightly all-hands meetings

  • Host internal meetings, workshops, and events with confidence and clarity

  • Support internal programming that strengthens connection, shared understanding, and culture

External Community & Brand Experience

  • Help shape how Motivf is experienced by alumni, partners, and prospective hires

  • Create and manage touchpoints, programming, and content that reflect Motivf’s values and differentiators

  • Maintain and evolve the People section of Motivf’s website

  • Support alumni engagement and prospective hire initiatives

Execution & Stewardship

  • Bring high energy, approachability, and trustworthiness to daily interactions

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through

  • Invest full effort in both visible moments and routine or behind-the-scenes work

  • Exercise care, judgment, and accountability even when stakes are not immediately obvious

Qualifications

  • Strong situational awareness and ability to understand complex organizational dynamics

  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Comfort hosting meetings, facilitating discussions, and engaging diverse groups

  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to curate information thoughtfully

  • Experience with Slack or similar collaboration tools preferred

  • High level of organization, reliability, and follow-through

  • Self-directed and proactive; does not require constant supervision to do excellent work

  • Motivation to build cohesion, momentum, and shared purpose in a growing professional services organization

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate brings intensity, pride, and consistency to everything they do—whether the task is highly visible or quietly essential. They do not wait for urgency, recognition, or direction to do their best work. They care deeply about people, communication, and culture, and they are energized by helping an organization move together with clarity and purpose.
