Part-Time Senior Strategic Account Manager

Motivf is seeking a Part-Time Senior Strategic Account Manager with direct experience working with a federal agency to lead strategic business development efforts focused on federal stakeholders. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who brings existing federal client relationships, understands the federal landscape, and can independently identify, cultivate, and convert opportunities into long-term client engagements.

The ideal candidate is a trusted relationship-builder with a strong background in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, and a deep understanding of how decisions are made within a government agency and any associated agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage existing federal client relationships to identify and pursue new business opportunities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and cultivate leads within a federal agency and related organizations

  • Serve as a strategic point of contact for federal agency accounts, maintaining and expanding client relationships

  • Develop and execute account strategies to convert leads into funded opportunities

  • Partner with internal teams to align client needs with service offerings and proposal strategies

  • Provide insight into federal agency priorities, procurement processes, and stakeholder dynamics

  • Track and manage pipeline activity, ensuring consistent progress toward revenue goals

  • Represent the organization in meetings, briefings, and relevant industry events as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Direct experience working with the U.S. Department of Commerce and/or federal agencies

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage existing federal agency relationships to generate business opportunities

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or strategic partnerships

  • Strong understanding of federal procurement, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making processes

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive results in a part-time capacity

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior senior-level role supporting or selling into DOC bureaus (e.g., ITA, NTIA, Census Bureau, NOAA, NIST, USPTO, MBDA, etc.)

  • Experience supporting professional services, consulting, technology, or government solutions

  • Familiarity with capture planning, pipeline development, or proposal support

  • Existing presence in or near the DMV area, with the ability to attend in-person meetings when beneficial
