Experience Designer/ Senior Consultant

Motivf is looking for an Experience Designer to integrate digital, print, and retail designs into products, services and environments.
Location: Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia.

In your role, you will:
Apply conceptual thinking to create exceptional and feasible design experiences across multiple platforms, smartly bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities.
Apply user-centered design methodologies to ensure your concepts are based on human needs.
Clearly communicate and engage in a creative, collaborative design process with cross-functional business and technology teams to tackle all aspects of the design process
Collaborate with communications team and ensure that UX, Visual, and other Designs align with client needs and requirements
Construct quick interactive prototypes with initial, low fidelity designs that illustrate a realistic feel of the intended experience
Create dashboards, briefings, and/or presentations
Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually
Participate in workshops, concept sprints, and hackathons to inject Design Thinking tools to produce tangible results rapidly and iteratively
Prepare research and testing, produce personas, map customer journeys, develop service blueprints, for complex products and services
Thread design, business, and technology thinking together to deliver inventive, durable, and thoughtful solutions from concept to delivery
Use narration and storytelling to bring product ideas to life
Utilize industry design standards and promising practices to define and implement design criteria
A well- rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives and strategies
A strategic thinker with highly developed problem solving skills, strong planning and execution abilities who is flexible and can balance competing demands while working in a dynamic organization
Able to function, adapt and succeed in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Interface Design, Human Computer Interaction, Service Design, (Graphic) Design, or equivalent
Connected to the design community with a passion for design
Excellent leadership, relationship management, presentation and communications skills that establish trust, credibility and respect
2-3 years of industry experience designing applications, experiences, websites, products and/or services that balance user needs, business objectives and technological constraints
Holistic and human centered approach to product and service design, from research and insight generation to concept to deliverable
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
Interaction and Visual design skills, including use of diverse set of software such as Adobe CS, Sketch, OmniGraffle, as well as good experience with MS Office.
Excellent knowledge of rapid prototyping tools as such as Sketch, Axure, Invision or Flinto
Proactive critical thinking; drawing conclusions, find creative solutions, structured problem-solving approach
