Deborah (Deb) is motivated by teamwork, transparency and community building personally and professionally. She is curious and awed by the intricacy of simple beauty around her in everyday things. At Motivf, she coordinates and aligns internal and client team members throughout processes and strategic thought sessions, driving momentum towards the successful development and execution of initiatives. She orchestrates moving parts of projects; tracks and communicates status, metrics, and key performance indicators; educates; and facilitates collaboration.
Deb has held leadership roles at financial services, tech consulting and medical services organizations, which include, but are not limited to: project and account management; data analysis; website, program and social media/blog content creation; operations strategy; and process improvement. She previously owned and operated a photography and videography business and maintains a zest for photography and writing. She published in the field of education and plans to finally push on the finishing touches of a few works in the queue. She served as a high school English teacher for thirteen years. This included leading a portion of the district’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Program that focused on engaging youth in Creativity, Action, and Service.
From the city streets to scenic trails (happiest there), she is fascinated by life’s colors, corners, unexpectancies and lessons. She believes hope keeps bouncing through setbacks and tries to keep its cadence whether she is cycling, running, hiking, parenting, camping, strumming her guitar, doing outreach or leading seminars. She’s naturally candid and not afraid to get dirty or be silly, which sometimes disguises the introvert inside.
With incredible mountain views as her backdrop, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education and Master of Professional Studies in Multicultural and Humanistic Education at the State University of New York at New Paltz, graduating with top honors. She now lives in the Hudson Valley Region, NY USA.
