Behavioral Science Researcher

Work You’ll Do:

In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Work with clients and team members to develop best-in-class approaches from concept through execution.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and research plans, including: publication bias; p-hacking; pre-analysis plans; selective reporting; reporting guidelines; reproducibility— and staying up-to-date on relevant research and policy developments.

  • Propose, plan, organize and execute experiments and research.

  • Utilize established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data.

  • Support dissemination of latest research to policymakers and partners, including conceptualizing outreach materials and managing their messaging, authoring content for initiatives, drafting reports on research best practices, monitoring media coverage, and managing relationships with relevant stakeholders.

  • Support dissemination of latest research to policymakers and partners, including conceptualizing outreach materials and managing their messaging, authoring content for initiatives, drafting reports on research best practices, monitoring media coverages, and managing relationships with relevant stakeholders.

  • Support client’s outreach campaign management by gathering and analyzing data from surveys and other sources, preparing reports and/or analyses, suggesting changes in program design based on metrics, and contributing to program performance narratives.

  • Develop expertise in client’s outreach and behavior change models (EPPM: Extended Parallel Process Model, and SoC: Stages of Change Model).

  • Participate in client’s program activities, including maintenance of SOPs, logic models, internal work groups, and guiding decisions about evaluation, including the variables to measure and the optimal evaluation design for measuring those variables and their relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  • A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives and strategies

  • A strategic thinker with highly developed problem solving skills, strong planning and execution abilities who is flexible and can balance competing demands while working in a dynamic organization

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology (IT), or other relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®)

  • Experience with cross-cultural research methods and cultural dimensions theory

  • Exposure to Social Marketing and/or Data Management Platforms (DMP) to understand individuals and deliver experiences tuned to their needs and desires.
