Andy is passionate about finding new approaches to solving complex problems in emergency management and public health. As Senior Emergency Management Specialist, Andy applies his knowledge and experience to help clients improve disaster preparedness and response within their communities. He also supports the development and commercialization of new technologies in the fields of public safety and healthcare. Before graduate school, Andy responded to 911 calls as a paramedic in Los Angeles and New York City. At FDNY EMS, he spent 3 years as a Field Training Officer out of Station 16 in Harlem.
Andy is a through-and-through history buff. When he isn’t reading non-fiction, Andy can usually be found at the pool table or listening to hip-hop. Andy graduated Claremont McKenna College with a double major in History and Psychology. In 2017, he earned his MPH in Health Policy from the George Washington University. He now lives in Arlington, Virginia.
